Game 3 was in
Markdale on Saturday, and was a typical back and forth game that we have come
to expect between the Flesherton Goldenhawks and the Oxford Pallet Norwich
Knighthawks.
Thanks to Travis scoring two goals the game was tied going into the third period. But with two quick goals in the third, the Goldenhawks pulled away and the score ended up 4-2. Sunday was a do or die game for the Boys and they came out playing well and with goals by Brandon and Tyson, again we found ourselves tied going into the third. It was another great game by the two teams, but Flesherton managed to get the game winner and wrap up the series. It was a good series and it was a great accomplishment making it to the all Ontario finals and the Oxford Pallet Bantam reps should be proud of that. Our congratulations to the Flesherton Goldenhawks who’s players and fans were a real class act, something you don’t see that often. It’s not over yet for the Bantam Reps, they finished first on the “B” side of southern counties which puts them in a semifinal game against Tavistock next Tuesday March 28th , it would be great to see a big turn out like we saw last Sunday in Norwich! Puck drop is set for 7pm
