NMHA Return to Play Update
Norwich Minor Hockey Board is busy planning for the upcoming hockey season. We wanted to give our hockey community the few updates we do have.
A few weeks ago the
Ontario Hockey Federation released their updated
Return to Play Document along with Public Health guidelines and rules that we will need to follow for our players to be able to hit the ice this September. Below is the web address for the OHF document that outlines these stages. By our start date we should be on track to begin in stage 3b of the OHF document.

We appreciate everyone's patience and support, because our first and foremost goal is to keep all of our players and hockey families safe and healthy. We do not have a confirmed start date, but as it stands right now we should be on track to start sometime in September. We have a team dedicated to developing our NMHA Covid plan, which we need to have in place prior to starting our season. Obviously there will be much more information to come once that is finalized.
We do not know ice times yet, and will forward that information on to you once we have our scheduling meeting in early September. We will also start collecting registration fees in September but we will make everyone aware when that happens. It is very important that if you or anyone your know still plans on registering for hockey please do so ASAP. This season it is especially important to know our numbers as early as possible because there is a lot we have to plan for around these numbers. We cannot figure out our team sizes, ice times needed, and plan for capacity numbers within our facility without knowing them. The NMHA board will continue to work hard to plan for our season, and will give you updates as we have them. We look forward to seeing everyone on the ice, so take care and stay healthy!
