March 18th/19th results.

The Norwich Timbits Tykes team had a fantastic weekend of hockey on March 18th and 19th.




On The Saturday the Tykes faced off against Delhi in Norwich. The last two times these two teams met Delhi came out on top, but this game Norwich was triumphant! The Norwich Timbits Tykes won over the visiting Delhi 4-3. Norwich took the early lead when Nolan Learn scored their first goal, Delhi answered back shortly after tying the game at one. Norwich then got their lead back when Kohen Mann scored his first goal of the season assisted by Nolan Learn. Delhi answered the Norwich goal with two more to give the visitors a 3-2 lead.  The Tykes were playing with determination, and Logan Davis scored a breakaway goal to tie the game up at 3.  The teams were evenly matched and both teams defenders and goalies worked hard to stop any goal scoring attempts for both sides.  Norwich got their lead back when Daxton Nobbs scored with 8 minutes left in the game to make it 4-3. The Norwich Timbits Tykes held off Delhi to win the game. Norwich goalie Josiah Koncir had an amazing game it net for the Tykes. The whole Tyke team worked hard for the victory!

Sunday March 19th the Norwich Timbits Tykes travelled to Ingersoll for their game. This was the first time the two teams had played each other this season. Ingersoll started the game off by scoring in the first couple minutes of the game to take the lead. Norwich then came back to score 7 goals to make the final score of the game 7-1.  Goal scorers were Tanner Masters with the first goal assisted by Kirsten Samways, Daxton Nobbs had 2 goals one assisted by Logan Davis and one by Carter Feyen.  Logan Davis also had 2 goals one assisted by Daxton Nobbs and one by Nolan Learn.  Mason Ellis got one unassisted, and Nolan Learn landed the final goal of the morning unassisted. Ingersoll played a good game but the Norwich Timbits Tykes dominated. Goalie Josiah Koncir had another strong game in net. It was a great weekend of hockey for the team!
