Peewee Reps Move Onto Quarter Finals
Your Norwich Knighthawk Peewee Reps matched up against Arthur in the preliminary round, coming away with a series sweep. The team now takes on the Cayuga Stars in the OMHA Quarter Finals.

In the first game of this series the team made the long trip to Arthur. They had a hard time finding a way to get going in this game after the commute. After sharing goals in the 2nd period with each other the game was tied at 1 heading to the 3rd. During intermission the coaching staff went over a few things that the team needed to do to win this hockey game. The Knighthawks came out flying, scoring 2 goals in the first two minutes of the 3rd period, and never looking back from there. With lots of pressure in the offensive zone the team was able to score 2 more goals before the final buzzer went. Final score 5-1 Knighthawks. Goal scorers were Blake Vanvliet 2, Justin Sikma, Colin Rongits, and Gavin Leonard. Assists went to Brandon Moodie 2, Carson Dyment, Jaxon Rigby, Caleb Vankerrebroeck, Hannah Buckrell, and Jamie Vanzadellhof.

Game two was back on home ice for Norwich. After killing off three straight penalties to start the game, the team found the back of the net twice before the end of the first. After exchangeing goals in the 2nd period, Knighhawks were up 2 goals heading into the third. With solid defence for the rest of the game, Arthur had a tough time finding a way to get much going. Late in the game with Norwich on the power play, they sealed the deal with another goal. Final Score 4-1 Knighthawks. Goal Scorers were Dyment 2, Buckrell, and Vanvliet. Assists went to Moodie 2, Vankerrebroeck 2, and Vanzadellhof.

Game three brought us back to Arthur. Coming out quick in the first, Norwich were able to score a quick goal. However, with mulitple goal scoring chances in the first two periods of play, they could only slove the Arthur goalie that one time. Once again, like the first game, the teams were tied at 1 going into intermission. The third period was set to be a good battle. Late in the game, Norwich was able to put not one, but 2 goals past the goalie and secure the series win the for The Knighthawks. Final Score 4-1 Norwich. Goal scorers were Buckrell, Vanvliet, Dyment, and Vankerrebroeck. Assists went to Buckrell, Vanvliet, Vanerrebroeck and Rongits.

Strong goal-tending from both Norwich goalies in this series allowed the team to come away with the sweep. Good job Ben Serrador and Isaac Orth.
