Peewee Reps Compete In Silver Stick
Over the last few days the team travelled to Kincardine to participate in the Silver Stick tournament.

In the first match up of the tournament the team faced off against Seaforth, with The Stars team coming out strong and scoring 2 quick goals in the first 5 mins of the game. Norwich had a hard time finding there legs in the first period after being off 9 days and travelling to Kincardine. The 2nd period seen some momentum building for The Knighthawks, scoring 2 goals and giving up one. Heading to the final period of play, the team trailed 3-2. With continuing pressure, from the forwards and defence, the team was able to net another goal but Seaforth answered back with one of their own. Late in the game, with the goalie out, Norwich was able to tie it up with one minute remaining on the clock. This game was not over yet! Norwich found themselves on a powerplay with under 30 seconds left and somehow scored the game wining goal with only 1.3 seconds left. KnightHakws win 5-4.

Next up for the team was a tilt with Pt. Dover. With these team knowing each other from league play it was set up to be a hard fought match up for both teams. Dover came out aggressive, gritty and ready to battle. With that being said they found themselves in some penalty trouble giving Norwich 4 straight power plays. But in this game the team had a hard time getting set up and could not answer with a goal. Norwich could not get much going throughout the rest of the game and fell 3-0.

In the third game of the tournament, Norwich played the hometown Kincardine Selects. With an early morning rise the team was ready to play. Total team dominance from start to finish for the Knighthawks. Final score 5-0 Norwich.

Unfortunately with a record of 2 wins and 1 loss the team did not move onto the semi finals match. 

The team now looks forward to the league playoffs starting in the new year along with OMHA playdowns. The team awaits there first round opponent.
